These vocational contracts are open to young people from 16 to 25 years old.
On a contract of this type, the apprentice earns a percentage of the minimum wage that will vary according to his/her age and the level of qualification.
The apprentice’s salary is not subject to full social contributions but he/she is nonetheless covered by the Social Security system, including the time he/she spends at the Apprentice Training Centre.
The apprentice has the right to the same paid leave as everyone else on the payroll, that is to say 2.5 days for a month worked. Paid leave/holidays must not be taken during training time at the apprentice centre.
