The ELLE Fashion Solidarity Competition was created in 2004, at the same time as the ELLE Foundation. The competition is now one of the emblems of the foundation, corresponding perfectly as it does to the foundation’s pursuit of female emancipation.
In 2006, the ELLE Foundation decided that the Fashion Solidarity Competition should take place every year. It awards study grants to young women who are selected, allowing them to pursue fashion studies.
The Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne receives a female student each year who has won been awarded a grant via ELLE’s Fashion Solidarity Competition.
